  • BIO

Bree DeLano is not just a DJ. She is a creative force, a curator of cool, and an ambassador of music and culture.

She became the first female headlining local DJ with major nightlife residencies at the biggest hotels and nightclubs that decorate the Las Vegas Strip. She also became one of the first female Entertainment Directors and a major contributor to the diversity of the Las Vegas music scene. Her passion for music and creating unique tailored musical experiences has allowed her to shape shift with ease rotating from nightclub DJ, to it girl event DJ, to opening up for artists like Bruno Mars, Michael McDonald, De La Soul, Tony Bennett, and Them Crooked Vultures. She’s built her brand on her versatility and outside the box approach to her DJ sets. Bree’s business and creative acumen have paved the way for a multidimensional career spanning far beyond the DJ booth.

Song selection is what Bree is known for. In high school she was the girl everyone came to for the perfect mixtape, from weekend soundtracks to the perfect breakup mix. Little did she know this would become her profession.

She began curating playlists for private clients and brands professionally in 2000. Music curation is an art that Bree takes very seriously. It is her foundation as a DJ. Bree has turned that passion for creating the perfect soundtrack into a storied career.

Bree began her professional journey in 1991 throwing parties attended by hip hop's elite from coast to coast. Known as a swiss-army knife, Bree quickly became a dot connector, back and forth betwee Los Angeles and New York writing for various magazines as a music critic, and producing events that brought music lovers together across genre lines. She soon moved into Artist & DJ management, A&R, Artist Development, and soundtracks. She was the Associate Producer on the critically acclaimed "High School High" soundtrack for Atlantic Records a record she’s very proud of. Her hustle was unmatched, all driven by her relentless passion for music, especially hip hop. Bree became known and trusted for her ear for new talent, skillful music curation, programming, and an eye for sharp creative direction, marketing, and branding. She is self taught and self made. She always laughs and says, "one day, I'll write a book." She probably will. She's done everything she's set out to do.

Bree's love for music, and experience managing DJ's, led her to pursue her own career as a DJ in 2003. In 2006 she moved to Las Vegas where she broke all glass ceilings as a woman in a world renowned nightlife city run by men. She most definitely did it her way.

Her successes are attributed to her life experience(s). Bree grew up on dance floors, dancing to DJs since the age of 15, a club kid, immersed in LA club culture. This is what makes her connectivity to DJing so authentic. Bree has an innate ability to read the room, because that’s what she’s done as a woman her entire life. What sets her apart from the rest, is her talent for giving the crowd just enough of what they need, to be able to lose themselves in her unknown.

Bree has built her DJ brand on taking risks, literally and musically. Her DJ sets take people on a journey. Bree is able to make the crowd feel ageless and elated via her arsenal of music, live-mixing a multitude of genres, infusing new artists, rare remixes, and songs from your past that you never get to hear in DJ sets. From stadiums, to red carpets, events, to dive bars, she does it all. She has indeed built her brand on the contrary.

In 2012 she took on the position of Entertainment & Creative Director at a venue in downtown Las Vegas, called Insert Coin(s). It was a creative opportunity that gave her the platform to be of service for music lovers in Las Vegas who felt invisible, and she took role that very seriously. Alternatives to major nightclub experiences barely existed, so she created it within those four walls. The 300 cap venue was nestled in the heart of gritty downtown Las Vegas, a juxtapose to her percieved glossy nightlife career, this space spoke to her roots. This was a huge plot twist in her career and a challenge she was so excited to take on. Her first booking as Entertainment Director at Insert Coin(s) was De La Soul. True hip hop fans got treated to an up close and personal sold out performance. She jumped right into this role building a team of 20+ resident DJ's for monthly programming, introducing new artists, giving new DJs a shot, making this venue a true open format venue in Las Vegas. As an artist, she conceptualized all marekting and creative directions from promotional to interior design. With philanthropy as a constant focus, Bree produced events throughout the year that raised signifcant funding for animal rescue and arts & culture organizations. Under her navigation, Insert Coin(s) earned a reputation and accolades as "the place to go for true music lovers" bringing authenticity to the forefront in a city primarily known for sensationalized nightlife experiences.

In addition to her DJ career, Bree was an on-camera music correspondent for Vegas’ MORE Access reporting weekly covering concerts, clubs, DJ residencies, and all things music related.

She launched her own live music series, (which she produced, hosted, and DJ'd) called "Pop-UP Live". The live show series focused on "Big shows in small spaces" always incorporating local opening talent. Supporting upcoming artists and DJs has always been a part of the service Bree feels called to. Each show was a different genre, at a different intimate venue throughout Las Vegas. Within the year long series, ”Pop-UP Live” was named Best New Party, as well as, Best Concert of 2016 for Anderson.Paak's first Las Vegas performance selling out the House of Blues.

In 2017 Bree felt a shift, it was time for a new direction for her family. She sold her home in Las Vegas and relocated to her hometown of Los Angeles so her daughter could focus on performing arts. Just as they were findin their groove, Covid hit,...and the world stood still. A lot went on during that freeze frame. Bree became a full time caregiver to her mother who was diagnosed with Alzheimers as she homeschooled her daughter, putting her career on indefinite hold. After losing her mother in 2022, Bree started to slowly reacquaint herself to her passions, and her hustle. This time, it hit different. She had seen who showed up to support when the warmth of spotlight was not there to bask in, and more importantly, who had not. Bree has always been a huge advocate of therapy and self work. This time, that hit different. She was drawing from authenticity, but this time from a place of arrival.

It was time to start creating again. She fell back in love with music, curating, and DJing. Things started to feel limitless. One day Bree started experimenting with producing remixes. She started off with a remix of Tinashe's 2024 hit "Nasty", something light and fun, peppering nods to hip hop throughout. Bree was hooked. Being able to finally express herself through proudction was a new high, something she'd dreamt of for decades. Her next effort was a flip of The Beatles "Come Together", then a flip of De La Soul's classic "Buddy". She refers to them as "homage remixes" paying tribute to the artists, reintroducing the songs to a new generation. Her latest effort is an homage to one of her favorite classic rock songs by The Eagles, "One Of These Nights", which she refers to as one of her favorite creative and collaborative nights of her life. “I’ve always been known for my secret weapons, my rare & amazing remixes from so many talented DJ/producers, I always wanted to throw my hat in that ring. I always wanted DJs from around the world to have my remixes in their arsenal. It was time.”

2025 is a new era. Bree is not only busy DJing high-end events, consulting as a Music Director for brands and private clients, and adding producer/remixer to her repertoire, she is "the most intuitively creatively that I've ever been. I am more excited about the future of my career right now then I've ever been before. It sounds corny but, to quote my favorite Frank Sinatry song, "The Best Is Yet To Come", for sure."

Aside her musical talents, Bree is an accomplished creative; fine artist/painter, writer, equestrian, and chef. She is known for her philanthropic work in animal rescue/adoption via events she’s produced, and DJ’d. Her most important title is Mama. She lights up like the nights sky at the mere mention of her now teenage daughter, who is also a massive music fan, immersed in performing arts. They have a new adopted family member, "Ms. Rocky Dog", who you can constantly see on Bree's Instagram.
